Renewed planning for the Kiryat Shalom neighborhood in Tel Aviv focuses on preserving and enhancing the neighborhood's identity while fostering a stronger connection with the city. During the semester, we addressed two main objectives to integrate elements from Tel Aviv into Kiryat Shalom:
1. Applying the principles of the Geddes Plan to South Tel Aviv by creating a road network that connects it to the city center, fostering an urban experience, and implementing diverse building typologies.
2. Introducing the concept of variable intensity, characterized by a mix of uses in building cross-sections and diverse street characterizations.
LARGE, 1:5000:
1. Integrating organized movement axes into a comprehensive network (Geddes Plan).
2. Establishing public centers for entertainment, dining, commerce, and culture along major traffic routes.
3. Developing variable intensity land uses + construction sections.
MEDIUM,1:1000:
1. Organization of the traffic system and consolidation of land uses
2. Diverse construction section and densification of the number of inhabitants.
